I'm Harrison Shearn, founder of Solid State Digital, based in Perth.
I work in digital marketing and I build. What I care about most is systems that compound: acquisition, measurement, and operating models that still work after the launch week is over. Campaigns that spike and fade are easy. Durable growth takes more patience and better judgment.
Over about ten years I have worked across the full stack of digital growth. That includes paid media, email, social, search, CRM, analytics, and more recently AI enablement. The thread through all of it is the same. Turn strategy into measurable behaviour change. Design systems people can run again next quarter. Stay close enough to the tools to build when recommending is not enough.
I think a lot about taste in a world that keeps drifting toward the average. When models and teams train on everything, the safest output is the middle: technically fine, culturally flat, and interchangeable. You see that average in feeds, on landing pages, and in work that looks busy without being intentional. Taste is the scarce asset. It is judgment about hierarchy, restraint, brand, what to cut, and what to keep. The useful version of taste is not a vibe. It is encoded into systems: tracking that survives product changes, pages that people and machines can both read, and playbooks that compound. Tools should amplify a point of view, not sand it down.
That is the lens I bring to Solid State Digital. The brand promise I hold myself to is simple: fast, reliable, and efficient, with results delivered with certainty. In practice that means integrated paid and organic growth, durable tracking and analytics, search and answer-engine work that earns trust, CRM and lifecycle, and AI chatbots, agents, and automations that run real workflows. It also means shipping real software, including products like Command Email, and client work that has to survive inside real businesses.
I stand for measurement over mythology, systems over heroics, taste over average, and building when it matters.
If you are an operator who wants growth that still has a point of view, I would like to talk.
